NSBA RESULTS

 

Terry Bialkowski of Windsor won his first National Senior Bowling Association title with a thrilling 257-245 triumph over Jim Rock of Kalamazoo at Troy Lanes in Troy .

 

Bialkowski took home the top prize of $1,000 and the championship trophy after qualifying fifth and beating Tom Fauls of Troy 289-222, Dave Eatmon of Ferndale 236-204 and John Ross Jr. of Vassar 217-204 on his way to the final match.

 

Rock qualified 10th. In match play he defeated Dan Mytty of Livonia 204-166, Jim Lauricella of Sterling Heights 49-47 in a two-frame rolloff after tying 204-204 and Larry Foote of West Bloomfield 249-224. Rock took home $500.

 

William Manley Jr. of Detroit was the top qualifier and also recorded the top game with 300.

 

Local senior keglers who cashed were Foote for $200, Mark Hatchigian of Novi $130, Eatmon $130, Fauls $90, Jim Burton of Novi $90 and Joe Fitzsimmons of Waterford Township $90.

 

The next NSBA event will be Aug. 9 at Superbowl Lanes in Canton .
