took home the top prize of $1,500 after a thrilling 40-39 triumph over Smallwood
after the two tied with a 203 in the championship match. Syring defeated Kurt
Pilon of
Smallwood settled for $750 after leading qualifying with a 10-game score of 2,418.
The
stepladder finals began with Nick Wissinger of
Pilon cashed for $600, Wissinger $500 and Kalanquin $400.
The only local bowler who cashed was Justin Crosby of Holly for $180.

The
annual meeting of the Metro Detroit USBC Association will take place Sunday,
Jan. 11 at 6:30 p.m. at Sunnybrook Lanes in
All members of the Metro Detroit USBC Association are eligible to attend the meeting. All adults and youth over the age of 14 are eligible to vote.
On the agenda are reports on the progress the MDUSBC has made during the previous year, electing vice-president, electing five adult members of the board, electing the youth committee and electing state delegates to the respective state meetings.
Anyone desiring to run for any of the positions should visit www.mdusbc.com to obtain an application to be forwarded to the nominating committee. You can also call the MDUSBC office for an application.
