The Sonier/Ciantar team qualified first, which included a tournament high 299 game by Sonier. In match play they defeated Jim Burton of Novi and Mike La Rocca of New Hudson 268-162 and B.J. Galloway of Alpena and Jim Richardson of Toledo 236-210 en route to the championship match. They took home the top prize of $500 each.
