BUDWEISER MICHIGAN MAJORS

 

Chris Marshall of Mason prevailed in the Budweiser Michigan Majors at Royal Scot Lanes in Lansing with a 224-204 triumph over Chris Brady of Flint .

 

Marshall was the top qualifier with a six-game total of 1,498. He waited for a challenger to appear from the stepladder finals and took home the top prize of $1,000 for the win and an extra $100 as high qualifier.

 

Brady beat Ken Wyatt of Sterling Heights 226-225 and earned $600.

 

The stepladder finals began with Shane Dufresne of Clio defeating Paul Kwiecien of Lansing 220-197. Dufresne then fell to Wyatt 204-203.

 

Wyatt settled for $500, Dufresne $400 and Kwiecien $300.

 

Marshall was feeling a little under the weather the night before the tournament and said, “I sure am glad I changed my mind. This is just fantastic. I just can’t believe it. You just never know.”

 

The next MMBA event will be Oct. 18 at Bay Lanes in Bay City .
